Chicago Religious Leadership Network on Latin America

April 27th - 28th

Last year hundreds of churches in the U.S. and Colombia joined together in prayer and action for peace in Colombia.  Now churches in both countries are preparing to commemorate the third annual Days of Prayer and Action for Colombia on Sunday April 27th and Monday April 28th, 2008. 

CRLN Board member and Presbyterian pastor from Colombia, Rev. Milton Mejia has called on congregations across the nation to participate in this year's Days of Prayer and Action for Colombia.  CRLN joins Rev. Mejia in inviting you and your congregation to participate, as well!

Here is how you can answer Rev. Mejia's call:

1. Speak with your faith community's worship leader to ask for a special time to be dedicated to Colombia on Sunday, April 27th (if that doesn't work, select another Sunday!).  You can find additional worship materials at www.peaceincolombia.org.

 2. Plan an action for the National Day of Action for Peace in Colombia on April 28th (see below for more information).

The Days of Prayer and Action website has a host of resources available to make your commemoration of the Days of Prayer and Action a success.  CRLN can provide you with a poster for your church, a bulletin insert, and postcards for members of your congregation to sign and send to Congress.
