Temporary Visitor Driver's Licenses for Immigrants Bill Passes in House of Representatives!
SB597 Passes the Illinois House of Representatives, by a 65-46 vote! We celebrate this victory that will positively change the lives of many immigrant families in Illinois. The legislation now goes to Governor Quinn, who has pledge to sign the bill into law. Once it is signed, the legislation will go into effect in 10 months.

On Dec. 4th SB957 passed the Senate with a super majority, 41 to 14. On Monday, January 7, 2013 the House of Representatives Transporation Committee passed the bill with a 6-2.
