HR 4321-Comprehensive Immigration Reform
Summary: On December 15, Representative Luis Gutierrez (D-IL) introduced legislation to reform our immigration laws. The Comprehensive Immigration Reform for America's Security and Prosperity Act (CIR ASAP) represents an important step in getting Congress to act to fix our broken immigration system next year. This bill includes provisions for legalization, such as paying a fine, learning English, and having a background check. It also increases border security and enforcement, along with much needed improvements for detention centers.
