Retreat for Board of Directors: February 1 - 2, 2008
Welcome to the Homepage for the CRLN Board and Staff Retreat!
CRLN's board and staff are going on retreat! On Friday, February 1st, we will meet at 10 am at The Center in Palos Park, a beautiful retreat center in the southwest suburbs surrounded by forests and walking paths. We will spend the night in their overnight accomodations, convene again on Saturday morning February 2nd, and adjourn no later than 4 pm.
The planning committee for the retreat has been Dan Dale, Nancy Goede, Marilyn McKenna, Jim Vondracek, and Margot Worfolk. Thank You to them for their work!
The retreat presents an opportunity for staff and board to be away from other distractions and, over two days, discuss and explore CRLN's mission, programs and priorities. It also marks an important transition - CRLN becoming an independant organization and the continuing development of a board of directors.
At the retreat, we will:
- learn about each other and how the board will work together and with the staff
- explore CRLN's mission and articulate our vision(s) for the world
- flowing from our mission, discuss in small groups CRLN's current programing and work
- assess our current priorities, our criteria for choosing priorities and possible future priorities
- discuss a plan for equipping CRLN to meet its future opportunities and challenges
Any questions or concerns, contact Jim Vondracek at jvondracek@crln.org or 630-267-8325.
