Bridges to Community: Understanding the Immigrant Experience in Chicago

to learn about the realities of the immigrant experience in Chicago.
June 15-16, 2012
Highlights may include:
- Hearing stories from undocumented youth
- Meeting with government officials
- Conversations with community-based organizations
- Engaging in spiritual reflections with fellow participants
- Learning about the roots of migration
Join us and return home equipped with strategies to engage your congregation on immigration issues and connected to faith-based advocacy organizations!
Bridges to Community will include meetings all over the city of Chicago, but overnight accomodations will be at the Institute for Cultural Affairs building in the Uptown neighborhood (the same building as the CRLN offices). Participants are required to stay overnight for purposes of community-building and reflection.
Cost: $300. Fee includes lodging in Chicago, all meals, programming, and in-city transportation. Some scholarship assistance is available.
