2012, this conference will provide in-depth, expert education
on Know-Your-Rights education, Illinois Families Covenant, Prosecutorial
Discretion and what can be done to protect families, as well as begin the
formulation of a statewide strategy for protecting families in deportation.

the ICIRR One Nation, One Dream Summit for Immigrant Integration.
We have also gotten the Integration Summit on the schedules of Secretary
of State Jesse White, Governor Pat Quinn and Senator
Richard Durbin, and we are negotiating with Mayor
Emanuel and his staff about coming to the Summit.
By attending, all of these elected officials are showing their commitment to
advancing the rights and opportunities of immigrants. They are also
showing respect and recognition for the important on-going work you are doing
everyday in your communities.

WORKSHOP DESCRIPTIONS
The Summit begins with an opening plenary at 9am, with confirmed speaker Cook
County Board President Toni Preckwinkle. All workshops are free to the
public, and take place between 9:30am and Noon. At Noon, we will hold a
closing session for all of our members and allies. Confirmed speakers for
the closing session include: Congressman Luis Gutierrez, House Speaker Michael
Madigan, and Assistant House Majority Leader Eddie Acevedo.
