Lutheran Volunteer Corps Interns
For the past several years, CRLN has worked with the Lutheran Volunteer Corps (LVC), giving dedicated and motivated young people experience working on issues of peace and justice in Latin America.
LVC interns work at CRLN for one year and bring enthusiasm, energy and commitment to their work. In turn, CRLN provides the LVCers valuable experience in working with Latin American issues and partners. Most importantly, CRLN works to provide a formational experience for the intern, equipping them for a lifetime of service with the people of God, especially the poor and oppressed of Latin America.
In 2007/08, two former LVC interns have returned to CRLN! Erica Spilde, after her LVC year, worked in Costa Rica for the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, bringing delegations to that country. She will use that experience to lead CRLN's delegation initiative. Danielle Wegman, who was in LVC last year, will continue on at CRLN this year, focusing on legislation and advocacy.
